Syngaschem’s alcohol electrolysis research at two international conferences: Electrocat (Poland) and ISE (Italy)
Syngaschem’s Dr Foteini Sapountzi presents her recent work on alcohols assisted hydrogen production at two premier electrochemistry meetings this summer, namely the International Symposium of Electrocatalysis (Electrocat2018), Aug 29 to Sep 1, 2018 in Szczyrk, Poland, and also at the 69th Annual meeting of the International Society of Electrochemistry, Sep 2 – 7, 2018 in Bologna, Italy.
Alcohol-assisted electrolysis is becoming a subject of rapidly growing interest, as it takes considerably less energy than generating hydrogen from water. It may also become of interest for application to alcohol-containing wastewater streams.
Foteini’s presentation focuses on the comparison of acid and alkaline conditions, and the optimization of polymer electrolytes in novel membrane – electrode assemblies.
